Support multi-currency and multi-language in POS

Goal
Develop a system to support a travel agency based in Singapore that operates across multiple countries, handles transactions in multiple currencies, and consolidates all finances in a multi-currency bank account.

Requirements

Multi-Currency Support

  • Enable the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions in multiple currencies such as SGD, MYR, and THB.
  • Support real-time currency conversion rates for accurate pricing and accounting.
  • Allow the system to reconcile all transactions in the Singapore-based multi-currency bank account.

Multi-Language POS
Implement language support for localized POS interfaces, such as:

  • English (for Singapore customers).
  • Malay (for Malaysian customers).
  • Thai (for Thai customers).

Allow easy switching between languages for user convenience.

Consolidated Financial Management

  • Centralize all transaction data in the Singapore travel agency’s accounting system.
  • Generate detailed reports for each currency and country:
  • Total sales by currency.
  • Reconciliation reports for the multi-currency bank account.
  • Provide breakdowns for each POS system (e.g., B2C POS for SGD, MYR, and THB).

Localized Pricing and Taxes

  • Allow different pricing strategies for each market (e.g., customized pricing in SGD, MYR, and THB).
  • Automatically calculate and apply regional taxes and fees.
